list of excuses

exercise excuses
  • i'm too tired
  • i don't feel good enough right now
  • my feet hurt
  • my back hurts
  • i ate poorly today so it would be pointless
  • my shows are on
  • i have to exercise asap in the morning or else i won't do it
  • i drank last night
  • i can't go to the gym because it's too crowded & they'll laugh at me
  • i have to go all or nothing or it's useless

food excuses
  • i ate a bad choice so the day is blown
  • i don't care today
  • but i really want a burger
  • i'll do better tomorrow
  • it's not my official start day
  • it's my period
  • i'm ovulating
  • i'm in a bad mood
  • but i'm really pissed off
  • i drank last night
  • i'm starting tomorrow so i have to pig out today

health excuses
  • i don't have diabetes
  • i don't have high blood pressure
  • i don't have high cholesterol
  • i'm still flexible
  • i have a slow metabolism
  • i ate alot yesterday and lost 5 lbs today so i must be doing something right
  • that girl is fatter than me so i'm healthier
  • i lose weight fast
  • i'm big boned and supposed to be a little chubby

my harsh reality
  • exercising is proven to give you more energy
  • if i ate better and exercised more often i'd be sick less often
  • if i got off my fat ass and exercised i'd lose the extra weight that hurts my body
  • if i exercised after eating poorly i would prevent myself from gaining weight
  • i can exercise and watch tv - or i can tivo the show and watch later
  • i'm not a morning person and will never get up early to exercise - 24 hours to chose from
  • exercise after the hangover goes away - or don't drink on exercise days
  • the people at the gym won't laugh at me - i'm changing my lifestyle and they support me
  • i can take little baby steps and still lose weight - cutting out one thing at a time

  • one bad choice does not a diet destroy
  • i always care - i always think about it - i just cave in in that moment to the cravings
  • cravings go away after 10 minutes - am i really thirsty instead of hungry?? - deal with it
  • doing better today allows me to have that tomorrow
  • i don't need a start day to take back my life
  • exercise & eating right helps relieve the symptoms of pms & ovulation
  • exercise releases endorphines and makes your mood better
  • i can go to the gym and beat the crap outta the punching bag
  • drinking = bad choices, so drink in moderation & have healthy snacks on hand
  • food isn't going anywhere - i don't have to devour it in one day - that's what a cheat meal is for

  • even being 10 lbs overweight does damange to your body - so being 200 lbs over is death
  • i'm flexible because i stretch and use my muscles - not because i'm fit
  • i don't know about my metabolism - i have to get it checked to know for sure
  • losing weight one day does not directly correspond with the choices of the previous day
  • so because she's bigger than me i can pig out and eat until i look like her??? how bout no
  • i drop weight more quickly at first because i weigh more & it's mostly water weight
  • hardly anyone is literally "big boned" and almost my entire family is small framed

okay so this is a list of my different excuses, and then me breaking my own excuses down to see that they hold no real power. i'm the only one holding me back, not these excuses. and i'm sure that i have more but this is all i can remember right now. nothing in the above 3 lists holds true meaning. nothing in them is a legitimate reason for not eating healthy or exercising. and here they are, for me to see and look back on. i will not use these excuses again.
